About The Fabric House
Welcome to The Fabric House. I am Poppie and this is my business. I grew up in the fabric/design industry where my mum owned a Made-to-Measure Curtain & Blind service. This kind of influence in my life from the early stages of infancy stood to shape the very person I have become today.
I have a degree in Costume and Performance design. During my time at University I learnt the skills of dress-making to a couture standard. Specialising in corsetry and millinery my skills rely heavily on intricacy and patience. Both I have adopted over time and now I have great confidence in my abilities in dress construction and alteration.
I have a passion for interior design, which ties into the exceptional made-to-measure curtain & blind service that I provide here at The Fabric House. This isn’t just a skill I have learn’t from surrounding myself in it since I was a little girl, I truly believe it is something I have inherited from my Mother, who is also exceptional in the realm of design. I love working with interior designers to provide the perfect mix of beauty and logistics, which is very important when it comes to bespoke soft furnishings. The service is personable and this is where I am different to a lot of bigger organisations out there.
I create the kind of relationships with my clients where you can trust me to deliver the best outcome. We share ideas, and work through the process together. Making it as equally exciting for me as it is for the customer.
